PDFs are opening as a default in preview with Monterey on my iMac. however I like to check how it looks ahead of sending to a client in an email, but the images are not fully displaying correctly, looking like they are corrupted. I would prefer to default back to Acrobat if this cannot be changed. How can I do this?

Get info shouldn't be not visible. Make sure you right click once on the Finder file and Get Info should be close to the top of the right-click list.
After clicking on Get Info, find where is says "Open With" on the new popup window. That's where you set your default app and hit the "Change All" button.

If you want to open a PDF in Preview by default, do the following:
1) Right click on any PDF file and choose "Get Info"
2) Find where it says "Open with" and select Preview as your default
3) Click the "Change All" button to make Preview default for all PDF files
Do the same steps if you wish to set Acrobat as the default, except you would obviously select Acrobat and not Preview.
Then change the default PDF tool to Acrobat then.
Thankyou Owen I did already try this but change all or get info is not visible it will just allow me to open in acrobat but not set as default. Any suggestions?
