How do I shuffle ALL songs on a Playlist on AppleTV

I have several Playlists in the Music app on my AppleTV (although I do not subscribe to the Music service). They are played through the sound system of my home entertainment center. The longest Playlist contains over 2000 songs (and would take almost 7 days if played in sequence). Even though I select Shuffle when playing this long Playlist I will often hear the same song 2 or 3 times in a single day. Other songs I can't remember ever hearing. How can I get the Music app residing on my AppleTV to shuffle ALL of the songs on a Playlist?

It also seems that the songs the Music app does choose to play are always played in the same sequence. Is the shuffle feature truly random, and if so does it select the next song to be played with or without replacement? (The first option allows for the possibility of a song repeating before every song in the Playlist has been played, while the second requires that every song in the Playlist is played before a given song is repeated.)
