I don't see Power Nap in Battery Preferences

I have a MacBook Pro M1 Max running Monterey (12.1). I don't see Power Nap functions in the Battery preferences. Below are screenshots of the Battery and Power Adapter sub options.

I assume this is normal for some reason, but would like to know why.

There is no Power Nap with the M1, like there is with the Intel. The best you can do is make sure the "prevent computer from sleeping when the monitor is off" (under Preferences > Battery) option is unticked. There is no need to put hard drive disk to sleep, as the M1 has SSD.

Aside - the current version as of Jan 26, 2022 is version 12.2

Your M1 is SoC this is not a hardrive or solid state this would be limited to Intel.

This Hep Topic hardly clarifies power nap:

For M1 >System Preferences>Battery> "prevent computer from sleeping when the monitor is off"

you can you can submit your Apple Feedback http://www.apple.com/feedback

Run it when connected to Charger.

If not possible carry the TM Backup drive with you and allow the OS to make Snap Shots when it is scheduled to do so and then connect to charger and run the TM Backup.

Would suggest not allowing TMM Backups be left too long as in days before connect to charger and running the backup.

Otherwise the Snap Shots will build up on the Internal Drive and will decrease space making for a different issues.
