how to delete _CCC SafetyNet from trash? (in Monterey)

This problem does not seem to be operating system dependant. I have a folder in my trash called _CCC SafetyNet which is apparently containing "system" files or copies thereof. I cannot empty the trash. I have tried turning off safety net on my CCC destination volume (in Monterey) which did not work.
