Excel on Iphone wont copy and paste

Hi everyone, I've got an issue that's frankly got me stumped. Hoping for some help.

I currently have an iphone 12 pro on the latest IOS software update. I use dropbox and access an excel spreadsheet using my phone. I copy a cell and then paste into a streaming app that I use on the phone. Everything was working well until the phone software was upgraded ( I think).

What's happening is when I open excel in dropbox, it opens fine, when I tap on the cell it will highlight part of the text waiting for me to expand the selection in the cell. When I do this, it immediately highlights the whole spreadsheet, meaning I can't copy it. Interestingly on any other apple device I own, it works perfectly. Just not sure how to fix this. I've reset the phone, reinstalled dropbox to no avail.

maybe someone out there has a similar problem and has a work around.

TIA

Sounds Like a Bug:

Seems Microsoft has some "Catching-Up-With" to do. Apple made an update, yet Microsoft is not working. So, what to do...

A. Contact Microsoft:

Find out what's going on, from Microsoft's end of things. If no fix yet, Apple probably has yet to play their role in this.

How to Contact Microsoft:

Start here, with the Virtual Support Agent. Start a chat with a rep, asking them where this all stands. I'm most certain that Microsoft has yet to do their part in catching up with all these changes made by Apple.

and...

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Comment: that it is after installing the latest update when the issue began
  3. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  4. Proceed from there aw necessary
