Changes from iTunes to Music, TV, etc

I am trying to remove clutter from my hard drive

I have been using a Mac for about 10 ten years. When iTunes changed to Music, TV etc I seem to be been left with a lot of remnant iTunes folders.

Some have data some don't.

I believe the important stuff now sits in Music/iTunes/iTunes Media this included previously downloaded and ripped media.

But some just seem of no value.

For example Music/iTunes_Languages has a lot of folders and several files but I don't know if these are needed and I can't find reference to them.

Also can previous iTunes libraries be safely deleted now?

Finally where are the files for audiobooks and podcasts now stored as I can't see them in Finder

Thanks

Depending on the amount of free space you have you might want to reset the media folder in Music to ~/Music/Music/Media then consolidate the library with File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate Files. Then repeat with TV consolidating to ~/Movies/TV/Media. Audiobooks, books, and podcasts now end up in hidden library folders within your user profile making them much less easy to manage manually. After consolidating Music & TV then, in principle, anything left in the iTunes folder would be redundant copies of your old media that could be discarded. Might be best to archive everything to an external drive first just in case.
