macbook air external accessories
I am a new Macbook Air M1 owner and I'd like to use my external monitor, my external SSD drive, my sd cards, etc. What do I need and how do I accomplish this on a budget?

I just bought the 2020 MBA, and have numerous accessories, as you do. A dock is certainly the way to go, but with all your needs, unless you plan to be swapping out, you're gonna need a decent dock. I bought the Belkin11 in 1 for about $120 at Best Buy. Not really 'budget', but at least it pretty much fits what I want it to do.
Your other option is to buy dongles/adapters, but...those aren't really budget friendly, either. You need to figure out what your priorities are, and then see which dock fits best.
do a search for thunderbolt docks. There are many models and check on their connector ports to determine if any one meets your needs. I use a Cal digit TS3+ . OWC at macsales.com makes reliable Docks also.
Thanks! The Cal digit TS3+ is a great dock! As a newbie, I was hoping for a more frugal, value solution, though.
