How do I set the touch ID for my password again

When i was trying to log into my student portal, i typed in my password and there was an option whether to save the password so i can just use my touch id the next time i wanna log in. but i clicked on the "never" option. now every time i want to log in i have to key in my password manually and it's time-consuming for me, considering i log in almost every day for class.

how do i set it back to being able to use the touch id for that password?

Hi Owen_1001, thank you so much for helping me out!

I've tried your suggestions, but they didn't work. However I checked the Safari User Guide and I added the website under Safari > Preferences > Password.

Now my problem is resolved :)

On whatever site you are using, find the page password settings and either delete it or find a way to save your password (I don't know the specific page and so can't go into detail on how to do that). After you do that, put in your password and hopefully the prompt reappears.

Another things you can try is going to Keychain and creating a new username and password for the website URL.
