When to charge the Mac

I have a MacBook Air M1 and I would like to know when to recharge my battery. Can I leave it charge all the time when I’m at home (most of the time) and only use the battery when I’m not at home or do I have to unplug it from time to time ?

thanks

You can leave it connected all the time. The Mac will auto manage the battery then and learn you rarely us it on battery and will keep it at 75% to 80% charge.

If you know you are going out in a few hours and will be using it on battery, you can tell it to charge the battery to full charge at that point, so it's ready to go when you leave.
