Why does the keyboard on my iPad insert forward slash all the time

It sounds like unexpected characters are being added when you are typing on your iPad. Let’s look into this together.

To start, are you using the onscreen keyboard to type or an external keyboard? If you’re using the onscreen keyboard, does this still occur if you remove any cases or screen protectors from your iPad and restart it?

If so, please provide more details on when this happens and if it happens in multiple apps or only in certain ones.

I am using the onscreen keyboard and restart and hard restart do not seem to help. I do have a magnetic Apple case with back and front cover. Have not tried to type without it. I was on the phone with text support and had trouble showing her the issue. It seems to be worst in message but also happen frequently in mail. Weird that as I am t\yping this it is not happening as frequentl\y although there are now two instances? I will tr\y typing without the case but I’m not confident it will. Make a difference. You can see what I am talking about with the 3 examples here
