Prior to streaming a movie from my Mac to a smart TV via AirPlay for the first time, I had been using it for 8 months (and other periods of time going back to 2017) to stream audio to amateur radios for FT8 transmission (wsjtx application). Since then I have not been able to transmit, even though radio control does work through the audio cable. I think the audio may be being diverted via AirPlay, since the audio should activate transmission (VOX). Twice when I have been attempting top transmit, the smart TV has turned on. Some OS's prior to 12.2 apparently had a way of turning off AirPlay mirroring.

I am trying to change Airplay Transmission preferences. I want to turn it off.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't disable it. Are you having a problem simply not using it? If so, give the details and perhaps someone can help you figure out next steps.
