Slow Motion Issue

I shot a video on my iPhone 11 not in slow motion, but the middle portion of the video is in slow motion and it flickers. I tried going to Edit to remove the slow motion part, but there is no slow motion bar anywhere. How do I remove the slow motion effect?

Thank you.

Hi Linkzoralex,

We understand you'd like to convert a slow motion video to normal speed. We're happy to offer some guidance.

Open the video in the Photos app then select Edit at the top right. At the bottom of the video you'll have two sliders, one is to edit the video length and the one below that is to edit the speed. You'll just want to slide your finger across that so the entire bar is filled with white bars.

Trim video length and adjust slow motion on iPhone

Hope this helps. Cheers!

Hi Linkzoralex,

Thanks for the additional details. That would be correct. If this isn't a slow motion video, you would not have the option to edit the speed. You'll only see that option on videos that are recorded in the "Slo-Mo" mode.

Currently the Photos app does not have a function to change the playback speed on videos that were just recorded in the normal Video mode. If this is a feature you'd like to see added to a future software version, we'd recommend making that suggestion to Apple through their feedback site: Product Feedback

Cheers!
