Batch rename Files with Automater and a .csv name list

I want to rename a few hundred files with names I already have in order. I found a discussion where someone built an automator for this exact problem. The problem is that it does not work and I don't know how

The automator uses a Folder with the the namelist titles.csv and the files.



can somebody please help me fix this issue

I just recreated that Automator workflow using a 20 item titles.csv and the second Zsh code posting from that linked article. The Automator application worked just as it was expected to work, after selecting the folder, and then renaming the filenames in the titles.csv. Finally, it displayed the following:



This was a comma-delimited CSV without any header row — the only kind that the script handles. The CSV was laid out:


test 1,1.jpg
test 2,2.jpg
⋮
test 19,19.jpg
test 20,20.jpg


Tested: macOS 11.6.3.
