getting error message imap.comcast.net does not support password authentication how do I check account settings

Adding a comcast email address to an ipad - am getting an error message - The IMAP server "imap.comcast.net" doesn't support Password authentication. Please check your account settings and try again. I followed all comcast instructions - advice?
