I want to go back to being able to “delete” mails by swiping left but since updating to 15.3 this has been replaced by “Archive”

Suddenly on my iPad Pro 11” I am unable to revert back to a simple left hand swipe to the left to delete. It has been replaced by “Archive”which is time wasting and annoying. There is no problem with my iPhone 12pm which has had the same update.

help would be appreciated.

This does not have to do with the iOS update, but the settings in the mail account. Go into the Mail account in Settings and change the Move Discarded Messages Into from Archive Mailbox to Deleted Mailbox.
