ipod classic

hi all ,

I have ipod classic it’s old , I changed the battery as it would not hold charge at all , now when I plug it in it’s original charger and lead it comes on and is usable , as soon as I unplug it it turns off !

if I use same cable on a different plug , only Apple logo comes on turns off comes on on a loop !

same happens when I try and connect it to a pc , I have no Apple laptop or pc , all I’m realie interested in is getting the music and photos of the iPod as I am a traveller and got a realie rare selection of music , and some memorable photos on the hard drive !

is there a unit I can buy to plug the hard drive in to copy the contend to a pc , or does someone maybe have a fix for this ?

would greatly appreciate any help or tips !
