DELETING EMAILS
I keep trying to delete emails but they are still showing.
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.15

Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Your Account>Mailbox Behaviors, what path is Trash Mailbox set to?

I have done this but the emails weren't deleted until after I had shut down the computer.The Bin mailbox only gives the option of 'Erase deleted messages when quitting mail'. Even then i think I had to close the computer before the emails were deleted.

Point the live.co.uk box at live.co.uk server's trash.
The bin delete box could go to the iMac bin. Would this be better?
I thought i had been deleting emails but found to my horror that i still had 6000 emails!! (don't laugh!)
