Airpods

So i bought airpods probably about 5-6months ago and one day i take them out the case and one of the speakers isnt working anymore!! I have not dropped them and they are always well looked after, i have receipt but i do not have apple care is there anything that apple can do to help as i have always been a big customer of apple products but this has left me with a-bit of a issue and let me down as i depend on my AirPods daily. Can apple be of service to my predicament and help me out??
