MacBook freezes randomly

I purchased MacBook Pro not so long ago (the one based upon the M1 Pro chip). The problem I’m having from the very beginning is that it’s freezing randomly. There’s nothing I can do about it, but to restart. A restart helps for 2-3 days and then it freezes again. The curious note about it is that it doesn’t freeze entirely… I can move the cursor and the dock menu is still available, but the items there are not clickable. Did anybody face the same issue?

What I did so far:

  • called support (not much help)
  • ran hardware diagnostics and disk first aid utility - all good
  • looked at the console logs - no crash reports

Laptop configuration:

  • OS: Monterey with the latest update (12.2)
  • M1 Pro Max, 32Gb RAM

Observations:

  • The CPU is normally 75% idle even if I run several apps I work with
  • At least 16Gb of memory is available and the SSD is very far from full

Is there a way to diagnose what app is causing the issue?

Is there a way to load it heavily and see how it behaves under the load?

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)
