When you open a particular card in Contacts, you no longer have the ability to enter a search, so I would have to say no. If you are entering that much information in your individual card, you may be better off creating a note in the Notes app with that info, and you can search notes.

That's useful, thank you, although my challenge is a bit different.
I store so much miscellaneous information in my own contact card (eg: "My Card") that it can be tough to find the right info on my phone without scrolling and scrolling to find it (or not). On my PC (Windows 10 with Outlook) it is easy to search a particular card from within that card for a particular word in the card, and presto, up it comes from pages of card info. Can I do that on my new iphone13 ... search a particular card for a particular word?
Many thanks.
Cheers
Thank you for helping me make the leap to using 'notes' in a separate app, so I copied the text from the notes section of the contact card to a separate note in the Notes app.
Yes, so now in Notes on the ipone, in a particular note, click on top right menu button then select "Find in Note" and it works great.
Thank you. (it would of course be easier to search in the notes section of the original contact in the contacts app and have one less app to use, but I'll make the transition to the 'Notes" app, thanks again). Problem solved!
Cheers
You're welcome. One other thing, if you are using more than one Apple device, and you currently are using iCloud backup, you may wish to turn on Notes under iCloud. That will keep them synced to all devices and will also ensure they don't exist just on the one device. Take care.
I just opened the Contacts app, typed in a word that I knew appeared in a couple of contact cards in the search bar on top and the cards came up.
I try to keep 'my life' off of the 'cloud', so far, but nonetheless many thanks!
You're welcome.
