haptic feedback turns on and off on mac

why does the haptic feedback on my Macbook 2019 turn on and off randomly?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.2

Check Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Trackpad:

The bottem left corner, has a haptic checkbox. Is this turning off on its own?

Since it has to do with the touchpad's own sensors, any physical damage or short on power near the trackpad could cause a problem. Spills and drops can affect the trackpad.

there hasn't been any water or any type of liquid near the computer, curser moves fine, its just the haptic feedback that isn't working.
