iphone 13 photos much darker than videos

Not sure what’s happening but on iPhone 13 the photos are so dark and blurry, especially front camera. However, as soon as you switch to video it becomes nice bright and crisp. And adjusting the brightness and exposure doesn’t work because it just makes it more white rather then creating nice and vibrant colours like on video. Anyone else having this issue? Any advice appreciated
