screen mirroring on apple tv 4k 2021 with ARC connected Homepods

So i am using LG TV 75UM7600PLB model with ARC connected Apple TV 4k 2021 and stereo pair of Homepods. The audiooutput works as it should both from Apple tv and LG sides. But i cannot screen mirror neither my iphone 13 pro max, iphone 13 mini or ipad Air 4. But my mid 2015 15" Macbook Pro with Big Sur 11.6.2 can mirror its screen flawlessly!

Have anyone encountered with similar problem and was able to find some workaround?

Big thanks to the community in advance

If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device - Apple Support

If your MacBook Pro can screen mirror okay, then the issue may be on the sending devices.

Verify that the iPhones and iPad are connected to the same home network. You can’t screen mirror on cellular. If your router has separate SSID network names for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz band, then those are seen as separate networks, and devices on one can’t communicate with devices on the other. It is recommended to have the router bundle both wireless bands and the wired into one logical network.

What i noticed is that if i switch Audio Output in Apple TV back to TV Speakers from ARC, then everything is O.K.

That's interesting! I can appreciate the complexity of the network connections and AV distribution going on with your (wifi-connected) HomePods involved... I can also imagine that macOS has a more sophistcated set of capabilities for using network-connected displays and speakers.

Perhaps Apple concluded that simply disabling unworkable connections was easier than documenting what doesn't work (or explaining why).
