Monterey 12.2.1, MMs is enabled in iPhone, I cannot send messages on imac

I have logged in and out on both devices and restarted repeatedly. iMac says cannot send because MMS is not activated. It is. There is no "forward text messages" setting on the iPhone anymore latest update as of 11 Feb 22

Unable to send iMessages to myself on my iPhone X When sending a "text" message to myself using my iPhone X, it only sends SMS messages (green bubble). I cannot send iMessage (blue bubble) to myself using my iPhone. There is no issue with sending iMessages to all my other contacts, the only issue is with sending to myself when using my iPhone X with iOS 16.0.2 installed. I am able to send iMessages (blue bubble) from my MBP 2015 and 2021 versions all the time with no issues. After syncing, my iPhone X shows MBP iMessage with blue bubbles. How to fix and keep it fixed? I've tried restarting, signing out/in to iCloud, disable/enable iMessages on both iPhone and MBP. Help! Paul

iOS 15.3.1.

I have tried every conceivable remedy except for deleting plist items. items retried do not even get a progress bar, it reverts to "not delivered" instantly. Every time I update iOS software there is an issue.
