I reset my router password and my interned speeds have gone down

I recently reset my Netgear Nighthawk 6 router password. Ever since then, my interned speeds per Speedtest have gone down on my iPad and iPhone.

Worse yet, I am unable to get Speedtest to work at all on my MacBook Pro.

I would appreciate your suggestions

? Try a different browser...

There are many third party speed test out there... I believe the speedtest.net uses javascript—verify you are allowing javascript.

Make changes to your Network preferences or router preferences—

2.4 GHz is slower but travels further compare to 5GHz which is faster but travels a shorter distance(?)

Not all routers are simultaneous dual band... and you have to choose which band you are signed into.

If you hold the Option key and click open the WIFI on the upper right menu bar—you see more information:

I was thinking about when your device is logged into a network. On the right of the network selected you will see the symbol for information (a small i in a circle). Click on there and you can choose forget this network, which erases the information your device is storing about the network. Then restart just to clear the current memory and log into it again as a new account.
