Bluetooth A1016 Keyboard not pairing

This is my 2nd posting of this problem, this time I used "Bluetooth" in the below options. The first try I tried "Older Hardware" and I was pointed to Article and helps I had tried.

I have done a lot of searching for help with this problem.

My A1016 keyboard will not connect to my MacBook Pro using Mojave, it has worked before. Last time I had this problem I found a post that said to forget the keyboard, turn off Bluetooth and the Computer. Put in new batteries into the Keyboard, turn on Computer, turn on the keyboard and turn on Bluetooth, then pair it and it started working again. When I tried to connect my keyboard, a 2nd Bluetooth Apple Keyboard would show up in the list and say "connected" and then "connection failed". I tried what worked the last time but it did not today. There is no button to "pair" it, the button says "Connect" and it shows connected and then says connection failed, never given opportunity to pair. The green light is flashing on the Keyboard. What else can I try to get my Keyboard to "Pair"?Thank you for any help you can give me.
