Wallpaper changes after every restart and dual monitor issue question

Hi everyone,

I have two straight forward questions and i hope someone can give me some advice on fixing them

1) Everytime i restart my Mac (MacPro late 2013) the wallpaper changes to the dynamic default wallpaper.

My wallpapers are placed in a folder and the location of the folder stays the same...no changes. the change picture - every 30minutes..etc. checkbox is unchecked. Does anyone have a solution on how to prevent Mac from changing the wallpaper every time i restart.

2) I run dual monitors...my Apple thunderbolt display is marked as my primary display. Yet every time i start up my mac the 'login screen' appears on my extend display (Dell) instead of my primary display.. Does anyone have a tip on how to fix this so that the login appears on the primary display instead of on the extended display.

Never had the issues before...they all started after upgrading to Monterey

Also there are no updates available..the system's up-to-date.

All healp will be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone and have a nice weekend!

For #1 give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Can't help on #2.
