How to Disable "one more minute" screen time limit on iPhone?

Need for option to disable “one more minute“ in screen time limits, kids are able to continue using apps that are limited, what’s the use of screen time limits if they can continuously use one more minute? should be able to turn that off in screen time settings

This doesn’t quite get to the solution.

Having set all the App and Time restrictions, a teenage child is still willing to use the “one more minute” option over and over again which makes the screen restrictions a mere inconvenience to them.

Parents need a way to fully disable the device during restricted screen time. I would prefer that the “ one more minute” option was fully disabled.

Lots of bugs in screen time. My children have found out they can continue to watch saved videos in camera roll by adding them to a messege thread to either parent and watching but not sending. Can also go into settings storage review large attachments and watch camera roll items there. Also can go into camera and click the small thumbnail on bottom and view entire camera roll. Kids are smart but these back doors keep them awake at night playing on phones. Only solution is to have it be charged in common area and not bedrooms

Switch to a Samsung phone and use Googles Family Link or get a Gabb Phone. Both cover all the basics of parental control. Family Link is the defacto Android parental control native to Android and allows for remote control of permissions and monitoring. Gabb phone is just a dumb phone (but looks like a smart phone so your kid can "fit in"), and so it has zero config, and so you kids can't complain and ask for more time etc, because that is just not an option :)

My son wanted an iPhone, I tried setting up parental controls on my iPhone before buying one for him. I was unable to stop myself from getting access to apps and websites via the Screen Time feature (Screen Time is more for personal governance than parental control). I ended up on this forum because I was hoping I was missing something. Poor boy going to have a Samsung: he can deal with the stupid peer pressure of his friend's and Apple's hokey dokey iMessage lock in. I was hoping I could just give my boy iMessage and Spotify, but not an option with current iOS 16.

You can't get rid of "1 more minute option"... so the only way to do parental controls on iOS is to uninstall all apps that you for sure don't want your kids to ever open, and for un installable Apple apps you want "blocked" you just have to live with the one more minute option.

Why does Apple not want to allow us to turn the “one more minute” request off?? It has to be for their benefit and to allow kids to still use the apps so app developers don’t get upset with them. I’m not sure, but they have got to allow us parents to restrict apps completely! Thinking of moving to an android solely because of this flaw! If I had known it was like this I never would have purchased iPhones. Apple you have dropped the ball on this issue!

This answer completely misses the point. THERE NEEDS TO BE A LIMIT OR OPTION TO DISABLE ONE MORE MINUTE WHEN ON DOWNTIME. Not having such makes half of the options in screen time totally worthless. Children WILL AND DO press that button for as long as they can get away with. You do parents absolutely no favors by allowing this to continue endlessly. FIX THIS DESIGN FLAW.

This is really annoying. I’m tasked with setting up an iPad for a cognitively disabled adult that is getting themselves into serious trouble online.

We would really like to block social media altogether in apps and browser - screen time gives a convenient filter for this, but no option to block altogether.

I can think of other ways to get this done, but my restrictions might need to be more strict than I’d really like
