Canon color profiles missing in Photoshop

Hello,

I've been having trouble with my canon color profiles missing from Photoshop for a while. Sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not. The fact that this happens intermittently makes me think maybe Mac updates have something to do with this, as I don't update or change anything else.

Now I used to be able to go to system pref and then to printers and then add a new printer, click my printer, reinstall the driver making a printer (2) and then the profiles would show up again, but now that does not work anymore.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Since it happens intermittently it could be a corrupt cache file. Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Hi yukon819,

If you're having issues with the Photoshop application, you can find Adobe's support site here: Adobe Help Center

It sounds like you're also unable to setup a printer on your computer. You can find the steps to setup different printer types here: Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac

If you have multiple printers set up on the computer already, you can use these steps to set a default one: Choose your default printer on Mac

Hope this helps. Cheers!
