Safari PDF Saving Issue

I was trying to save a document to pdf. Clicked on print, pull down pdf, "save as pdf" entered my file name, clicked on save. I then could not find the pdf. I then recalled that something seemed off. The website would not let me print the document (to resave it) but I recalled that the prompt for location, which was usually Desktop had something else, but i did not catch it in time.

I prompted the page to print something else and selected pdf a second time and noted that the destination was listed as Volumes.

AFAIK volumes is the master drive, but I could find no trace of the original pdf by file name.

Any ideas where the file might have ended up?

When I open up volumes, it gives me the list of my HD.

No, the file in question seems to have disappeared. I was unable to get the website to "print" again, so I snapped a screenshot of the information. I was told by an Apple Tech that there is an issue where the destination folder somehow changes from default to "volumes" and you can't save to that folder. He said that it should be corrected on a future update.

I selected print on a webpage and PDF and changed the destination folder back to "Desktop" and I hope it remains the same, but it is a little frustrating that I don't have the confirmation page for an online payment in the format that is the same as all my others.

It just occurred to me to open the Screenshot and try to save it as a pdf, so I was able to convert the file to the same format and name it to match the rest of the files, so if I need to retrieve it, I can search it by date or other info, so my data problem is solved, but the fact that my computer redirected documents to a non-existing destination is a concern.
