Airpods won’t connect when i use FaceTime

my airpods won’t connect when i use facetime, they work with music and everything. i’ve tried to reset my phone, disconnect the airpods connect them again and even reset them and nothing seems to be working

AirPods Pro getting disconnected for FaceTime Recently I updated my iPhone 11 to iOS 15.4.1 and after this update whenever I’m getting FaceTime call, just after receiving the call it enables iPhone’s mic instead of the AirPods Pro. Though the AirPods are connected with the phone it automatically switches to iPhone’s speaker and mic and each time at least once I have to switch the call back to AirPods pro manually. I guess this is a software bug which can be fixed easily. If anyone else seeing this please do let me know how to fix until we get it fix from Apple.

Airpods disconnects when on the phone/facetime but not with music I have the first gen of the airpods and when I talk on the phone it will disconnect after 10-45 seconds and then the user on the other end sometimes will not hear me after it disconnects until I switch it to regular phone and talk. However, if I am using the airpods for just music it will be playing for 2 hours no interruptions. I tried resetting the airpods and connecting them back to the phone but the problem still persists. What can I do next?
