apple music albums/songs cover art

Is there a way to clear, reset, or correct the cover art associated with an

album or song in the iOS 15.3 music app?

The cover artworks associated with some of my albums and songs in the

iOS 15.3 music app on my iPhone 12 are wrong. That is, the cover art displayed

with an album or song belongs to a different album or song. It would be better

to have the correct cover art displayed when playing an album or song in the

iOS 15.3 music app.

The incorrect cover art association apparently began when I synced my iPhone 12

using Finder on my MacBook Pro running MacOS 16 (Big Sur).

We would like to help address your concern with Apple Music and album art.

Add artwork to content in Music on Mac with the steps here.

Since this appears to have started from the MacBook Pro, you'll need to verify the artwork is correct there and sync again.

If you can download the content again from the original source to get the correct cover art.

They'll be able to report this and go over advanced troubleshooting steps.

The artwork displayed on my MacBook Pro running MacOS 11.6.3 is fine.

The artwork displayed on my iPhone 12 running iOS 15.3.1 is scrambled.

I first noticed the artwork scrambling on the iPhone 12 after having

synced the iPhone 12 from the MacBook Pro.

I have repeated syncing the iPhone 12 from the backup stored on the

MacBook Pro, and have verified that the iPhone 12 music app artwork

is still scrambled, although with a different incorrect album artwork.

Please let me know if you have any further suggestions

for me to try from my end. If you have none, please file

a bug on the iOS music app.
