AppleTV confirmation on another Apple device not working

When subscribing to a service, or trying to make a purchase via Apple TV, the TV will ask if I would like to confirm the subscription or purchase on another Apple device, or if I would like to confirm by entering my AppleID password.


If I select that I would like to confirm on another Apple device, it never sends the confirmation. How do I fix it?

Which the latest version iOS and tvOS, you can confirm purchases using Face ID or Touch ID, even if the process started on Apple TV. I like the ease of not having to type, and also to not enter a password in front of others in the room. Not sure what to say, it works for me.

- Are your devices using the same Apple ID account?

- Are your devices on the same home network?

Thank you for this. As a result of your response, I rechecked my networks. Another member of my household had, unbeknownst to me, switched the AppleTV to our 5G network, which my iPhone isn't on. I changed the AppleTV to the correct network, and the problem is solved.


I should have checked the network earlier, rather than simply assume that nothing had changed since I originally set it up. Thanks again!
