I’m having a frustrating time trying to figure out why my alarms aren’t playing the selected music. I’ve tried making a new alarm, making sure the song is downloaded, making sure my ringer is on and that the focuses are off. I just barely got this new phone and it’s been doing this almost the entire time.

Where is the song is downloaded? Are you referring to Apple Music?
The song needs to be on the device and not on iCloud see the pic below for the Alarm clock to play a song.
I have the songs downloaded through Apple Music, and I’ve made sure of that
