Tap to open folders on the Desktop folder

Previously i could double tap to open folders on my desktop folder, but now a double tap doesn't do anything. This double tap could be used to open folders in the finder page too (ones that aren't [cmd-3]) When i checked System Preferences for this, the closest in Trackpad was "Tap to click" but that only enables or disables Tap, double tap still isn't working.

Hi Brian_P7,

Thank you for replying. I've always had all the options enabled in Trackpad preferences and this isn't included in the preferences anyway. Let me explain my problem clearly so you'll understand me better, I used to be able to open folders from my desktop screen by double clicking/tapping (using 1 finger) from my trackpad, this doesn't seem to be working anymore, im now forced to use secondary click and open a folder. Also the Silent Clicking option doesn't seem to make any difference in the sound produced while clicking.

Hope we can fix this problem,

Have a great day!
