Keyboard macro

Is there a way I can record a sequence of keystroke and replay them repetitively as required?

e.g.

ntel<enter><enter>n2els<enter><enter>1<enter>q<enter>

I know how to setup shortcut but as you can see in the above I have CR/LF (<enter>) in it.

I would like to be able to repeat those strings of keystrokes say x times.

any help would be much grateful

In System Preferences->Keyboard->Text you can enter as many text abbreviations as you like.

I suggest you type the desired text in a text editor, e.g., TextEdit, select it, Copy, then in System Preferences->Keyboard->Text

type the desired abbreviation and Paste the text.

For example, I copied the two paragraphs above and pasted in System Preferences->Keyboard->Text

and it worked!
