FaceTime supported on IPad Air 1
Hello, I’ve just bought a second hand IPad Air to use FaceTime on and was wondering long the 12.5.5 software will be supporting FaceTime and I will need to buy a new device. Thanks.

Apple does not announce information such as this until the software updates have been publicly released.
However, in my personal view, a more serious concern is that your iPad is no longer supported by security updates as per the following link:

And because of its age 8-9 years old, eventually apps and websites may not work as Apple and developers continually update apps to improve and provide enhancements to their services.

I am so sorry but you may want to consider replacing your iPad.
