Wondering how Catalina and FCP get along?
I'm on 10.13 and thinking about updating FCP and Motion to get some added features.
I'd like to be able to use Pixelmator Pro with Motion also.
iMac - 27'' Late 2013 build
3.2ghz Intel Core i5
Mem 24 GB 1600 MHZ DDR3

It works well. You would need to update to FCP 10.5.4, which is the last version that will run on Catalina. ZIP your current version of the application and backup your libraries.

Select the application on your system, right-click, and select Compress File.
