How do I delete music from my iPad?

All of a sudden, my entire music library has appeared on my iPad. I wish to remove all of this. How do I do that?

I've tried checking and unchecking the "Sync Music" button in iTunes. Doesn't work.

I tried to check the "Sync Music" box, then the "Select playlist, artists,.." button and made sure nothing is selected. Doesn't work.

I tried to go into the Music app on the iPad looking for a way to select and delete songs. Doesn't exist.

How do I delete all the music off my iPad?
