MacBook Pro 2021 promotion issue display corners clipping

Hi, I recently bought a MacBook Pro 14 2021 (10/16 1TB), and I've noticed that compared to other laptops of the same model that I've seen in person, the promotion on my model seems to have much more of a stutter. The display is actually smoother when manually set to 60Hz. Another issue is that items on the corner of the menu bar such as the apple logo on the left and date/time on the right clip with the curved corners of the display and are partly hidden (I've attached screenshots but these do not show the curved corners of the display), and this is not normal as the corners of these items are meant to curve with the display. I have no idea if these issues are correlated, but maybe macOS is not recognising the display as one on a MacBook Pro 14 with curved corners and promotion, and is not adjusting the menu bar and enabling promotion accordingly? Any help would be great.

Welcome, macknzy_!

From your post, it sounds like you are trying to get some info about the appearance of your MacBook Pro display. We’re glad that you reached out to the Apple Support Communities. We want to try and help you find the answers you need. First, you said that the display "stutters." Can you please explain more about what you mean by this? Is there unexpected movement or freezing?

Also, check out this link to get a few more examples of how the display should appear for you: MacBook Pro. If you feel the appearance is not correct, you'll want to Contact Apple for support and service.

Cheers!
