MacBook Pro M1 is not detecting Ethernet adapter via USB-C Monitor, any ideas?

I use a Dell U3219U with a USB connected ThinkPad USB 3.0 Ethernet Adapter. My previous 2019 Macbook Pro recognized it no problem. The new Macbook M1 Pro 16in, no longer recognizes the adapter.

MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021)

Running Mac Monterey OS 12.2.1

Hello jorgeoli,

Is it the case that you have an ethernet adaptor that your Mac is not recognizing, but it does recognize the monitor?
