iOS 15 Upgrade Affected Barcode Scanning

We have several iPad minis in use in our warehouse. We use them, along with with hand-held Bluetooth barcode scanners, to scan finished goods into inventory. We noticed that after the iOS 15 upgrade the scan guns started to scan the barcodes very slowly, and this problem has continued. The slow scanning has not changed with any of the iOS 15 updates. We still have two iPads running iOS 14.8 and they continue to scan normally but the ones that were upgraded are too slow to be of use anymore.

Question: Is Apple aware of this problem and is there any plan to fix this in a later iOS 15 update?
