Prior to Monterey, in Preferences > General, you could put a check next to Hard Drive, and it would display on the desktop.
Now, it seems that option is no longer in preferences.
Is there a way to add the HD to the desktop in Monterey?

However, my Finder preferences > General does not look like the above. My view is of Appearance, Colors, Scroll bars, Browser settings, Tabs, Recent Items and the like. Is there a way to change finder preferences > General to look like the above?
I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to find it. Also, I tried to take a screen shot, but it would not paste correctly. It just shows up as a path (like /var/folder...).
