cant see device icon in itunes

I cant see device icon in my itunes after connect my iphone to window pc.

What if you cannot see your device icon next to Music box on itunes? a mini12 iphone couldn't perform a software update using wifi. I connected the device to use the itunes option but I couldn't see the iphone icon. Seems to me like a software issue with the iphone.
