Blurry Photos in iPhone 13 Mail App

My stepmother recently got an iPhone 13 Mini, and whenever she emails me photos from the Mail app on her phone they show up blurry. They’re fine if she texts them to me, so it shouldn’t be a camera setting issue. I have a 13 Pro Max and can’t find the option to resize photos in the mail app that seems to be the popular fix to this issue.

Hello Penske5150,

It sounds like when photos are send to your through email from an iPhone, they look blurry.

It is the case that on an iPhone, you don't have the option to adjust the attachment size when adding a photo Add attachments to an email on iPhone

Some troubleshooting and isolation steps you can take are:

  • See if the photo is still blurry if you save or download it.
  • Try to send a photo using webmail to see if it has the same results. For instance, if it is an iCloud email, use iCloud.com.
  • Try sending photos from a different email account.

If you can't isolate it and the issue persists, you may want to Contact Apple Support or use this Get Support link for assistance.

Hope this information helps.

Have a good day.
