Hello there!
Because the phone fell, and because the problem appeared in the spacebar, the lower part of the phone screen may have been malfunctioning. Have you tried rotating the phone to the right or left and trying to write? Did you have the same problem? Is there any break in the screen?

iPhone 6 is an outdated iPhone (9 september 2014), the hardware remains old which also affects the keyboard, that may be the cause of the problem.
If the problem persists, visit an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller in your region for assistance to diagnose the problem.
And they could offer a possible solution.
You will first have to make an appointment due to the pandemic.
Or consider purchasing a newer type of iPhone.
You can’t update iPhone 6 to a higher iOS, iOS 12.5.5 is last security updates for iPhone 6 -> released 23 september 2021.
Some apps may stop functioning because they require a higher iOS.
Thank you for your reply!
I advise you to buy a new phone, but you can try this temporary solution. You can make your phone ignore repeated screen taps by going to Settings > General > Accessibility > touch accommodations > Activate the ignore repeat option.
I hope this solution helps you.
They need a new phone.
Yes. There are cracks on the screen. Also, it works when rotated.
It is not really worth putting a new screen on a obsolescent phone but you could try.
