We understand you'd like to test spatial audio without subscribing to Apple Music. We'll be glad to assist.
There are a couple of ways to demonstrate this here: Listen with spatial audio for AirPods and Beats
You can play audio from another source and test the differences on your Mac. Section "Get a demonstration of spatial audio on your MacBook Pro" has more information.
