why is my apple ID showing in map now?!

Hi,

Does anyone know why my Apple ID (i.e. full name) is now showing in maps?! I don’t want someone knowing my full name at a click from that app & sometimes let others use my map. I’ve tried signing out of Apple ID - but then ‘find my iphone’ won’t work! Does anyone know how I can stop this without logging out completely & losing the find my iphone function? Otherwise, I suppose I will have to delete maps & then part of the purpose for having the iphone is obsolete!
