iOS 15.3.1 Overheating and Draining battery

After the update of IOS 15.3.1 few days ago, My iPhone 13Pro Max is overheating and battery is draining way too quicker than normal. I also noticed in 40 mins it drained 4% of battery and my phone was in my pocket keep on heating with no app is running in multi task. And my background App Refresh is turned off from several years I never had this feature on.

Is anyone else facing this?

Thanks

iPhone 13 Pro Max

I have and iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 15.3.1 and it is also draining the battery. I looked at Battery under the Settings app and it says that battery usage is 42% from the App Store with 2 minutes of background activity. Something is clearly wrong. My battery goes from 100% to 20% in just 5 hours. I have eliminated most items from using background and even turned off automatic updates so that don't happen in the background but still no changes.

updated yesterday since apple pushes them so hard. Now my 12 min barely opens a web page, most of my apps don't work and my battery with is at 87% health is draining rapidly with very little use. I mean I can't even open a web page over wifi. Followed all the troubleshooting steps and nothing helped. Cool, thanks apple for making my phone pretty much useless! Super happy guy

My Iphone 7 (A1778) was working perfectly prior to IOS 15.3.1

The battery life was OK and run all day without a charge.

Now the Iphone is unusable this morning after a charge with lightening cable to 100% unplugged charger and 16minutes later down to 32 percent.

The battery is only 12 months old.

Now have to waste more time trying to go back to the previous IOS that had no problems.
