After the update of IOS 15.3.1 few days ago, My iPhone 13Pro Max is overheating and battery is draining way too quicker than normal. I also noticed in 40 mins it drained 4% of battery and my phone was in my pocket keep on heating with no app is running in multi task. And my background App Refresh is turned off from several years I never had this feature on.
Is anyone else facing this?

Same for me - iPhone 12 mini, just upgraded to 15.3.1 last night... now today battery life is garbage :-( Apple - what did you do?

Same here. My iPhone XR seems to drain all of its battery in a day with around half hour screen on time. Also experiencing heating issues on iOS 15.3.1
Unfortunately, these articles were not helpful- had already cleaned up, use Apple chargers, etc. etc. This issue began with the update and is clearly with the iOS.

Same issue with my iPhone SE2 after the 15.3.1 update.
Tried to reboot the iPhone several times with no success. Often the problem gets solved out of nowhere after the device got very hot and drained 10% battery during 10-15 minutes usage.
Very annoying because the iPhone slows down when it gets hot. Hope Apple can fix it ASAP.
3-4 days after the update my iPhone really went back to normal and stopped overheating.
I hope that others will experience this as well.
